What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file the website saves in your browser. We use first-party cookies (set by this site) and third-party cookies (Google and Meta), grouped into three categories: essential, analytics and advertising.
Essential cookies (always on)
These are required for the booking to work, so they don't need consent: they keep your session, the state of the booking process and protect the payment form. They include the browser session cookie and, in our internal panel, our team's login cookie.
Analytics cookies (require your permission)
They tell us which pages and which models are visited and at what point the booking process is abandoned, so we can improve it. They are our own cookies eg_vid (anonymous visitor identifier, 1 year), eg_ses (session, 30 minutes) and eg_attr (visit source, 1 year), plus Google Analytics 4 cookies via Google Tag Manager (_ga and _ga_*, up to 2 years).
If you don't accept them, we still measure anonymously and in aggregate during the visit, without saving anything when you close the browser.
Advertising cookies (require your permission)
They let us know which Meta or Google ad led to a booking and avoid showing you advertising you're no longer interested in. They are the Meta pixel cookies (_fbp and _fbc, up to 90 days) and Google Ads cookies. With your consent, we also send the booking confirmation to Meta from our server, with your data encrypted using an irreversible hash.
Consent and how to change it
When you arrive, we ask which categories you accept. Until you decide, analytics and advertising cookies stay switched off (Google Consent Mode v2 in denied mode). We store your decision in the eg_consent cookie for 6 months.
You can change it at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, and you can also reject or delete them from your browser settings.
Transfers and rights
Google and Meta may process data outside the European Economic Area under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can exercise your rights by writing to rent@autocaravanaselglobo.com, as set out in the privacy policy.
